Engaging in creative play has been shown to help reduce our bodies response to stress when we regularly engage in calming making processes. Art for Calm offers a safe, calm, welcoming and fun space to learn how art can be a mindful practice. In this two hour workshop we will look at how simple drawing, colouring and painting techniques can instil a flow state and create a greater sense of calm and well-being. You will create art that you’ll be proud of. Proud enough perhaps to even put on your wall, or gift to others! You’ll also walk away with inspiration as well as tools to continue your own calming creative practice at home. I’ll provide all the art equipment, you just need to book a spot and come and enjoy yourself. No art experience is necessary - just a want to claim some time for yourself!
