Rachael has practiced yoga for around 20 years in a variety of styles and her practice has evolved over this time. She teaches a vinyasa style class that moves with the breath as well as offering reflection and relaxation. Each class starts gently and builds up, options will be offered throughout and you will be encouraged to move in a way that listens and honours your body. This might mean taking stronger or more gentle options depending how you are feeling and your intentions for the day. This evening class will finish with a 10 minute guided relaxation.
Inviting you to experience meditation & mindfulness led by qualified meditation teacher Rena. Rena ran five carer respite meditation courses during 2025 at BHN Parkdale. The courses are being well received by the carers who participate, providing an opportunity for attendees to take some time for meaningful respite. Both new and existing participants are welcome to join Rena for a new term of weekly meditation beginning on Friday 6th February 2026. This is an 8-week course finishing on Friday the 27th of March - we encourage Carers to attend each week, however if this is not possible, you are welcome to attend when you can.

Outside yoga was started during covid. A necessity then gives us the being in nature back. Why listening to a tape of waves when you can have the real thing, or even the tjierping of the birds played in a studio? while you can just hear it in nature. Never gone back again. Only really when the weather went. But really .......that doesn't even happen a lot on Monday or Tuesday 11. My students think we manifest the good weather and when it spits we just take it in our practise. We feel the little spits on our face, arms or feed. As why let weather dictate how we live. Our practise is for young and older. I am nearly 56 and do attract my age group, but Brit, our youngest at the moment is working hard to get her age group in as well. My practice is not a full on body work out. It is more good for your mind my students will say. Although surprise, surprise ....you feel more body shape ...

Classes are open to anyone interested in Yoga from age 16+. A basic level of fitness and mobility is required for this class. If you have an injury it is recommended that you see a physio prior to commencing classes.
