Ages 16+ Art 101 is Logan Art Gallery’s monthly creative workshop series designed to help you build confidence with core art techniques. This month’s session, Foreshortening and Perspective in Figure Drawing, gives beginners a friendly introduction to drawing the seated human figure with accuracy and flow.

Luke Heggie, a renowned playwright, will be featured in a highly anticipated event. Doors open at 5:30pm, the event starts at 6:30pm, and finishes at 7:30pm. The curfew time is midnight for 7 days. Discover gel printing (Gelli printing), a mono-printing technique using a flexible gel plate and acrylic paint to create unique, textured artworks. In this workshop, you’ll explore creative stencil techniques and make your own hand-cut stencil to take home. Experiment with layering colours and textures using a variety of materials, including found objects like leaves, lace and household items. No experience is needed—this beginner-friendly class covers key techniques and terminology. You’ll create and take home 20–30 unique prints, perfect for framing, cardmaking, scrapbooking or collage.
Show n Share is a regular gathering of sculptors and other creatives to learn from, inspire each other & share their creative processes. On May 7th, Di will run a wire armature workshop, showing us how to build a small wire armature for an animal. This type of armature would support a sculpture of fibre, paper or other materials and if time permits, Di will explain how to add fibre to sculpt the body with wool, fibre, paper, or other materials. She will bring some of her work along to show n share.
