Embrace Her classes provide women and their supports with knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed for birth & early parenthood. This class focuses on preparing you for the early weeks after birth—supporting both your recovery and your confidence as new parents. We cover practical, hands-on skills such as bathing, nappy changing, newborn wearing, safe sleep, and settling techniques. You’ll also learn what to expect in your postpartum recovery, signs that you may need extra support, and how to care for your emotional wellbeing during this transition. Feeding is discussed in an inclusive and supportive way, including breast and bottle-feeding, expressing, and breast pump guidance where appropriate. By the end of this class, you and your support person will feel more informed, capable, and ready for life with your newborn.
A Relaxation Education & Wellbeing Experience. Join Lauren Webster of Finding Centre for an introduction to a series of guided self-acupressure points where you will learn point location of a few seasonal points, and hold points to support your physical, emotional and spiritual health and wellbeing. Beginners are welcome and please expect to feel energized, calm and balanced. We will work with acupoints and stretch move and breath. (N.B. Some points and stretches have contraindications for pregnancy • it is essential to let your facilitator know of any pregnancy, illness, injuries or first time at yoga meditation acupressure prior to the session)
