Monica Garcia-Salmones delivers the next JSI seminar in the series, "Hobbes, Boyle, Locke: Transforming nature, yesterday and today". A Scientific Revolution happens through the transformation of the concept of nature and of the laws that that nature is thought to be subjected to, the so called natural laws.

Following the 2024 NSW Drug Summit, this Beyond Punishment seminar will look at developments in drug policy and the role of Corrective Services in implementing the recommendations. It will address critical gaps in treatment access and consider successful Corrective Services policies. The panel will also discuss the role for Corrective Services in enforcing long-term imprisonment of drug suppliers.

Explore the intersections, criticisms, and common ground in their respective fields. Key themes include the good life, the “future”, mortality, and purpose.
