In this class you will get to experience hands on, the art of jam making guided by Alex Elliot-Howery from Cornersmith. Preserving does not have to be difficult or take all weekend. In fact, it can be as easy as turning two tired eggplants into a jar of relish chutney, a few cucumbers into a jar of pickles or the last two lemons in the fruit bowl into homemade preserved lemons. In this class you will be introduced to the craft of jam making, including jam, mulled pears and salt marmalade. Alex uses adaptable recipes so you can interchange what you have, what you grow, or what needs using up in the fruit bowl and fridge. Come, enjoy, and learn all the tricks about jam making!
