Join us as we send off our very own Luis in style before he takes on the world stage at the iconic International Mr. Leather. Hosted by the SLM family, this farewell is part celebration, part send off, and all heart. We’ll begin with a visit to the powerful Loving exhibition at Qtopia Sydney, grounding the day in reflection, history, and queer storytelling at its finest. From there, we’ll head downstairs to The Oxford Hotel for a relaxed lunch, good food, great company, and the kind of chaotic table chats that turn into core memories. Throughout the day, Luis will still be accepting donations to support his journey to Chicago, so if you’ve been meaning to contribute (or just want an excuse to throw some love his way), this is your final moment. Expect laughs, a few emotional beats, and a whole lot of community pride as we send Luis off properly, backed by the people who got him here. Let’s give him a farewell worthy of the international stage. Chicago won’t know what hit it.
