Midvale Hub Parenting Service is funded by the Department of Communities to support parents and carers of children who reside in the local government areas of Mundaring, Swan, Bassendean & Bayswater. A staff member will contact you by phone 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the program to conduct a phone registration. Because this program is interactive and built around shared learning, we ask that cameras stay on during the session. You’ll need access to a laptop or iPad with a camera so you can take part in the interactive activities. The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. Learning Objectives of the Program: Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs. Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions. Enhance the development of your child's self-esteem. Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure.
Babywearing can be such a beautiful way to stay close to your baby, but finding the right carrier (and getting it to feel comfortable) isn’t always straightforward. Babywearing Social Club is a relaxed, welcoming space where you can explore both. There’s no formal structure - you’re free to arrive, settle in, try things on, or simply sit and chat. Leave at any time! Whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or navigating the toddler years, you’re so welcome here. And while you’ll have the opportunity to try carriers and get support, the heart of this space is connection - creating a little pocket of community in a season that can sometimes feel isolating.

Learn to help kids figure out their emotions and create a calmer environment. Course is run over 8 sessions with a qualified therapist.

Adolescence is a time of significant emotional, social and academic change. This practical session will support parents to better understand the teenage years and provide strategies to help young people navigate challenges with confidence. Claire will explore key developmental changes, along with practical approaches to building resilience, supporting emotional wellbeing and guiding young people through friendships, social pressures and digital life. The session will also offer strategies to strengthen communication, connection and positive family dynamics. Parents will leave with a deeper understanding of adolescence, along with practical, evidence-based tools to support their child’s wellbeing, resilience and independence throughout the secondary school years.
