This topic covers: What accounting concepts and terms mean in plain English. The importance of a balance sheet and how it talks to your profit and loss statement. Understanding what your business finances actually mean. Knowing the right questions to ask your accountant or bookkeeper.

Session 1 – Budgeting & Planning (14 May, 2-3pm) This workshop focusses on saving, planning, and handling unexpected costs. It will explore scenarios such as: Saving for a rental/house Saving to travel or for big-ticket items Sudden large expense (e.g., broken-down car) Rising living costs Session 2 – Debt & Risk management (21 May, 2-3pm) Multiple Afterpay purchases leading to debt Multiple credit card debts Rent increase Financial abuse Afternoon tea provided.
