In this workshop, we'll be making a text-based game. We will teach the computer to play Guess Who! against us, and we will put our own spins on this classic game! Whether you have never programmed before or are a computer whizz we would love to see you there! Students don’t need to have any programming experience to come along, we’ve got something for high school girls of all levels. We’ll cover the basics if you’re new to Python and show you some extra cool stuff if you’re already a programming pro! Lunch, snacks and computers will be provided for students.

Don Dunstan, premier of South Australia (1967 – 1968, 1970 – 1979), is renowned for his pioneering social, legal and cultural reforms. Presented by Festival Hellenika and South Australia's History Festival. He was a philhellene who admired Greek culture, from its ancient wisdom to its folk traditions. Indeed, Adelaide during the Dunstan decade, became known as the “Athens of the South”, marking a golden age for the State. This Greek Australian tribute event will feature distinguished speakers who will discuss Dunstan’s trailblazing policies. Proceeds will be donated to the Don Dunstan Foundation.

Join John Martin’s author Paul Flavel and placemaker Barrie Harrop for a unique look back at The Gallerie Shopping Centre. Its 1979 opening offered a unique shopping experience and introduced Adelaide to the first R.M. Williams store and favourites like Orange Julius, Max’s chips and Oscar’s coffee. Harrop’s vision for The Gallerie later inspired his development of Melbourne Central. Following the discussion, Paul and Barrie will accept Q&A from the audience.
