As Australia enters a once-in-a-generation transfer of wealth, how charities and not-for-profits engage different generations has never been more important. This session marks the launch of a first-of-its-kind South Australian report, developed in partnership between the SA Philanthropy Network and communikate et al, drawing on Reputation360 research alongside national and local data. Together, we’ll explore how giving is evolving across generations — from Baby Boomers to Gen Z — and what this means for how organisations communicate, position themselves, and build meaningful connections with supporters. With increasing competition for attention, funding and volunteers, understanding who to engage — and how — is critical. This session will unpack the key dynamics shaping intergenerational giving, including: The growing influence of younger generations on giving culture The role of older Australians and their advisers in driving wealth decisions How brand, messaging and positioning impact engagement across different audiences Where charities should focus their efforts for greatest impact.
