We'll be back at MKRS this month to look at 2 things: Dom will provide a very transparent, behind the scenes look at how he's grown MKRS from 1 FTE to 3.4 FTE over the last 8 years. We'll also have a panel with Dan from Metalmorphic and Naomi from Concept Labs that expands on what it's really like to run and grow a manufacturing business here on the Coast. He'll also provide a live demo of how 3D models (i.e. CAD) is turned into machine code (i.e. CAM), and then a physical component on a CNC machine. Lots of great things to learn from both a business and technical perspective.

Yauar Warai Wandi - Sing Dance Gather celebrates the living relationships between flora, fauna and Country. This vibrant gathering honours First Nations strength, spirit and storytelling, bringing community together through both contemporary and traditional creative expression. The event pays tribute to Gubbi Gubbi knowledge and its deep connections to neighbouring Jinibara, Quandamooka and Butchulla Country, sharing stories of land, waters, seasonal change and the beings – plant, animal and ancestral – who shape them.
