Intensive One Day Technique Bootcamp for Intermediate Cellists. For this 1-day Intensive Technique Bootcamp, I have structured the day around the most common challenges adult intermediate cellists face. These typically include position changes, theory such as reading bass as well as tenor clef, bow techniques such as partial division, slurring, hooked, staccato and sautille strokes, left-hand shifting with bow support, double stops, chordal playing, rhythm and putting it all together with musical expression with others in a group, or ensemble. There’s a lot of technical and musical development to cover in the intermediate stage! This schedule offers a balance of guided instruction, hands-on practice, and individualized feedback, addressing the most common challenges adult Intermediate cellists encounter.
