SOILCO ‘The Life-Giving Soil Company’ will be hosting a behind the scenes look at the FOGO composting process. We are counting down the days to International Compost Awareness Week (3 - 9 May) and have a treat in store for 60 lucky Wollongong Council residents! SOILCO is a local, family-founded business that is proudly celebrating over 50 years of operation. SOILCO harnesses the power of people and technology to recycle Wollongong's FOGO into soil and compost products that regenerate and give life to soil. This is your chance to visit a technologically advanced in-vessel composting facility and to follow the journey your FOGO takes after it has been collected from your home. Every attendee will receive their own bag of compost to take home and use in their garden. Reducing waste to landfill and supporting the circular economy are great reasons to FOGO weekly. Every little bit of FOGO helps!
