Perth City Farm is a community urban farm that supports connected, sustainable communities. Established on a former industrial site in East Perth, this polluted site has been lovingly rehabilitated by volunteers to become a Western Australian icon for environmental sustainability and community engagement. We provide space and opportunities to build community connections, and educate and enable people to live sustainably.
STEM Speed Networking is a free careers event for students in years 10 – 12 who are interested in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Join us to meet a specially curated group of Women in STEM Mentors who are all passionate about their fields & sharing their career stories. Students will have ~10 minutes with each of our incredible Women in STEM mentors before moving on to the next station. Stations will also include an activity that links the science you learn at school to real life jobs! This is a great opportunity for students to learn about STEM careers and be mentored by industry professionals.

In this workshop, participants will learn: the relevant skills to create an effective resume, an understanding of the Do’s and Don’ts of what to include and what to leave out, which templates to use and how to avoid pitfalls, essential ingredients to landing that crucial job interview, what employers and managers are looking for in a resume, tips and tricks to make a resume stand out, how to create a resume with no previous work experience. Learn the skills now and set yourself up for success by leveling up your resume game. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the tools to start building a resume that helps you stand out when applying for jobs.

In this hands-on workshop, Yann Toussaint will demonstrate how to propagate a range of garden plants from seed, cuttings, and root division, and participants will have the opportunity to take plants home.
