Find the best charity events and make the most of your time this month in Melbourne. From music to pets and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
In a world that too often builds walls, we believe in building longer tables. Feast for Freedom - A Longer Table From our Home of Hope in Footscray guests will share a communal table, dining on a curated menu created by refugee chefs from Palestine and Sri Lanka. Hear directly from the chefs about the significance of the dishes, their personal journeys, and the resilience of their communities. This event is more than a meal - it's connection, empathy, and standing in solidarity with refugees by celebrating the cultural richness they bring to our communities. All proceeds from this event will go directly back into the ASRC, helping to provide vital support services for people seeking asylum and ensuring long-lasting impact.
A special Indian dinner to raise funds to help asylum seekers in our communities. The event features excellent food, entertainment, games and a silent auction.

The Mazzei Foundation Gala 2026 promises to be a powerful evening that unites industry leaders, corporate partners, philanthropists, and community advocates in support of one shared purpose: addressing homelessness for women and children. Funds raised at the Mazzei Foundation Gala 2026 will help support Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, strengthening their frontline response for women and children escaping family and domestic violence and facing homelessness. Every ticket purchased contributes to real, immediate impact for families at their most vulnerable moment. This year’s Gala reflects the Foundation’s belief that safe, stable housing is the first step out of crisis. By investing in Safe Steps today, the Mazzei Foundation is reinforcing its broader commitment to practical, housing-led solutions while continuing to build the partnerships needed to expand pathways over time.

Having lived in Warrandyte my whole life and currently working in Healesville and the Yarra Valley, the recent Longwood fires have felt frighteningly close to home. Hearing about the impact on communities and wildlife, I felt the urge to do something to assist. I have organised this night as a coming together of our community to help theirs recover. On the night, you can expect: A silent auction featuring generously donated items from local businesses Multiple raffles with great prizes to be won Live music from talented local musicians Music acts to be announced along with all the businesses donating for the night! Guests are welcome to BYO food, with drinks available at RSL bar prices. Thank you for being part of a night that truly makes a difference ❤️

Pause, Reflect, Remember. For this special FOVA edition, the ceremony will focus on remembering and recognising Veteran Artists: those who have used creativity, performance and artistic expression as part of their journey during and after military life. The ceremony features the haunting call of the bugle, the lowering of the flags, wreath-laying and a commemorative reflection led by Shrine staff. Each element is steeped in symbolism: the bugle marking day’s end, the flags lowered in honour and the stories shared as a reminder of the enduring human experience behind service. Whether you’re attending FOVA, a local Melburnian or visiting the city, this Last Post Ceremony offers a deeply meaningful way to acknowledge Veteran creativity, reflect on the past, and connect with a tradition that has long stood as a moment of collective remembrance. This event is open to the Veteran Community and the general public.
