The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) is proud to present a beginner to intermediate portrait lighting workshop hosted at Canon Studios, Macquarie Park, Sydney. This is a ticketed event with limited seats. Lucky door prizes from Canon and Kayell as well! Led by Sam Affridi, founder of Hero Shot, this beginner to intermediate workshop, is designed for photographers and videographers who want confident, repeatable portrait lighting - starting with one light and then intentionally scaling to two and three light setups - without relying on complicated multi light approaches. You will learn a practical system for controlling the look using light position, modifier choice, distance, feathering, falloff, and reflectors. You will also learn to apply this control across one, two, and three light setups. Sam will demonstrate how he works with senior executives when there may be only five minutes available, how to create more than one look quickly, and how to combine ambient light with a single studio light while taking advantage of the workplace environment. The goal is not to memorise setups. It is to understand cause and effect, so you can walk into any shoot and know what to do next.
