Find the best art events and make the most of your time today in Sydney. From music to pets and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.

Every week, boutique art galleries across Sydney host 'Opening Night' events. These are open to the public and typically feature complimentary wine and a lively atmosphere - together with great art by local and emerging artists! The concept of the 'Art Crawls' is simple. Your humble host plans out an Art Crawl when the stars align and these opening nights fall on the same night. This typically means 'crawling' between several galleries in a night, normally in the vicinity of the inner city (Surry Hills / Darlinghurst / etc). Come along, drink some wine, enjoy the art, and make some new friends!

Join artists Grant Stevens and Ana Iti in conversation with Katie Dyer as they discuss memory, language, and moving image. Working across moving image and screen-based media, their practices reflect on how memory is mediated through language, text, and systems of knowledge. The conversation explores affective registers and embodied archives, tracing how memory circulates between inner worlds and shared realities.
Join us at Paddington Library’s After Hours Film Club for two films exploring the power of song. Tina Throat Song Light refreshments will be served before the screening, with a post film discussion led by our in-house film expert, Erin. Please be aware that films may include adult themes or challenging subject matter. We recommend reviewing content information in advance if required. Bookings essential.
Join us to celebrate the opening of a joint project by NAS Gallery and Institute of Modern Art — Mitch Cairns: Artist’s Mouth. The exhibition will feature key works from Cairns’ oeuvre – including paintings, sculpture, works on paper, and artist publications – highlighting his distinctive modernist sensibility, playful abstraction, and reductive approach to form. Spanning two decades, the exhibition traces his evolving influences: from early student works to recent and new commissions, reflecting his ongoing engagement with self-reflection, the poetics and banality of daily life, concrete poetry, language and text, and significant figures in art and literature.
Create your own clay sculptures in our introduction to hand-built ceramics! Students are encouraged to develop and enhance their own style and creativity. From a technical and artistic perspective, we will develop a variety of techniques and methods of painting and decorating. Classes will include easy step-by-step instructions and demonstrations of hand-building and glazing.
