Join Jun from Sashiko Adelaide to learn HITOME-ZASHI, a beautiful form of Sashiko stitching. In this workshop, choose from two HITOME-ZASHI patterns: KAKI-NO-HANA (persimmon flower) or KOME-ZASHI. Learn the basic method of HITOME-ZASHI stitching and turn your stitching into a charming brooch. Suitable for all skill levels, including beginners. All materials are provided.
Adelaide Hills Outdoor Playgroup is a community, nature art and play event for children ages 0 - 6 years and their families and carers. Let's welcome Autumn together in the garden. Please join us with your family and friends to explore the seasons and our beautiful gardens through nature art and play. It's a special place to visit with many families returning with new family members again and again.
An adults beginner short course to either get you started with this fun and beautiful art medium or to give your forgotten skills a refresh. Join me for four x 2 hr sessions of exploring with watercolours. We will be covering colour mixing and learning how to develop your preferred colour palette, as well as varying watercolour techniques that can be applied to different subject matter. During the four weeks, we will also explore layering techniques, how to make loose, natural and interesting marks with different brushes, how to embrace the wild nature of the paints and how and when to add detail.
