Adelaide Hills Outdoor Playgroup is a community, nature art and play event for children ages 0 - 6 years and their families and carers. Come and explore Autumn in the garden during the school holidays. Please join us with your family and friends to explore the seasons and our beautiful gardens through nature art and play. The playgroup is set up for children to explore, climb and create, and to socialise and learn about nature. We hold two playgroups a month, on Mondays, 10am to 12pm. The playgroup is located at The Old School Community Garden in Stirling, South Australia.

Design and craft your own lantern from upcycled plastic and glass jars with Autumn leaves, pressed flowers and coloured tissue paper. Experiment with colours and shapes and light up the school holidays!

Construct, connect, code and control! Guided by LEGO expert Ben from Learn With Bricks, in this workshop you will investigate robotics, coding and all elements of STEM to build a super cool LEGO robot. For ages 6-13.

After an absolute blast of a time last holidays, our Mario Kart Party is BACK! Rotate between racing your hardest in the Mario Kart 8 videogame, creating awesome Mario-themed crafts, and cheering on the other racers while enjoying delicious snacks. Open to all, whether you're new to Mario Kart or just want a relaxed gaming hour with some friendly competition. For ages 7-14. Tickets are required for each participating child. Accompanying adults are to remain in the library.

Our Homeschool Herbology Workshop invites children to explore the traditional uses of herbs through hands-on making and exploration. Guided by a gentle rhythm, children will learn about the history and uses of herbs while creating beautiful, practical items to take home and enjoy.

Ever wanted to write your own book? What about a comic? Here’s your chance! At this drop-in workshop you can make a 'zine' (pronounced 'zeen' and short for magazine). Zines have been around for almost a century as a way for fans, artists, writers, and thinkers to share their ideas. Cut, colour, draw, write, stick - whatever takes your fancy to best tell your story. All ages welcome. This event is part of AHC Libraries' World Book Day.
