Ever wanted to write your own book? What about a comic? Here’s your chance! At this drop-in workshop you can make a 'zine' (pronounced 'zeen' and short for magazine). Zines have been around for almost a century as a way for fans, artists, writers, and thinkers to share their ideas. Cut, colour, draw, write, stick - whatever takes your fancy to best tell your story. All ages welcome. This event is part of AHC Libraries' World Book Day. We look forward to seeing you for a day of celebrations, reading, crafting, and more! As this is a Drop-In session tickets are not required. During busy periods there may be a short wait. Accompanying adults are to remain in the library. Please note that our school holiday programs often book out so if you cannot attend please ring us on 8408 0400 to free up your spot for someone on our waitlist. Thank you. Adelaide Hills Outdoor Playgroup is a community, nature art and play event for children ages 0 - 6 years and their families and carers. We would like to acknowledge that our playgroup runs on the land of the Peramangk and Kaurna People, we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Come and explore Autumn this school holidays. Please join us with your family and friends to explore the seasons and our beautiful gardens through nature art and play. Adelaide Hills Outdoor Playgroup is a volunteer run event that has been running for ten years, at our very magical and beautiful location, The Old School Community Garden in Stirling, South Australia. Our playgroup is all about getting outdoors with your children ages 0-6yrs and family, spending time connecting to nature, meeting new friends and parents. Exploring the senses and developing cognitive, social and emotional skills through nature art and play. It's a special place to visit with many families returning with new family members again and again. A great place to catch up with friends, family or mothers groups for a coffee and chat. We also welcome family day care services. Please reach out if you have any questions. We hold two playgroups a month, on Mondays,10am to 12pm. The playgroup is set up for children to explore, climb and create, and to socialise and learn about nature. We have Nature Play SA suits available to try on and a discount code if you choose to order them via the Nature play SA website. They are a great onesie suit to get your tiny ones up to 6 year olds out into the wilds during wet seasons.
