‘Beyond Awareness: Culturally Safe Practice in our Sector’ is a unique opportunity for the workforce of domestic and family violence, women’s health and wellbeing and sexual violence sector. The program consists of two full-day workshops, which are linked and offer practical and reflective activities to support ongoing learning over the duration of the series. Earth Kids is a nature-based learning program for children aged 6-12 years, informed by the Permaculture ethics of Care for the Earth, Care for People, and Fair Share. Activities are designed to spark curiosity and creativity, improve life skills, and foster a deep respect for the land and all its creatures. They follow the seasons and may include gardening, storytelling, art-making, cubby-building, Indigenous perspectives, fire cooking, flora, fauna and fungi exploration, seasonal observations, games, and more.
