Little spoons for big laughs. Come see Brisbane's funniest and most endearing disabled and chronically ill improvisers do funny make-em-ups on stage for your entertainment. Diagnonsense is scheduled at an early evening showtime to help you manage your spoons. Head home early if you're spent or hang around for more hilarious comedy with Big Fork Theatre's regular Saturday Night Comedy programming. Big Fork Theatre is a fully accessible venue. The corner entrance to the building is stair-free, there's an elevator that will bring you up to the second floor and the flexible seating in our theatre can be adapted to accommodate any needs. Strobe lighting will never be used in a Diagnonsense show. Personal accommodations (headphones, stimming, etc) are welcome, we just ask that you respect the performers' needs and limit talking/vocal expression while the cast is performing. Laughing is encouraged of course! Please reach out if you have any particular accessibility needs you'd like accommodated. We can't promise everything will be possible but we'll always try. Diagnonsense is brought to you by a Little Spoons, a group of Big Fork Theatre community members living with disability and chronic illness. Through these shows, we hope to grow the visible representation of disability and chronic illness on Brisbane performing arts and comedy stages. In the process we might just happen to break down some stigmas, challenge some internalised ableism and encourage more inclusive practices across the arts. But no pressure!
