The program aims to cover topics such as: What is labour, When to call the hospital, Things the birthing woman and their support person can assist them with in labour - at home and in the hospital, Informed Consent and refusal, Medical options for pain relief in hospital, Medical intervention and care, Newborns' communication and adaption after birth, Initiating breastfeeding, Becoming a new parent, Safety at home.
