Join Dr Jake Robinson for a journey into the unseen connections between humans and the invisible biodiversity around and inside us. Free wine and nibbles!
Join Dr Gavin Prideaux, Director of Palaeontology at Flinders University, for an engaging talk on the evolution and extinction of Australia’s remarkable mammals. Discover how climate shifts shaped ecosystems and led to the disappearance of over 70 megafauna species around 50,000 years ago.
The SAHMRI building is one of Adelaide’s most iconic buildings. Yet, the most amazing thing about SAHMRI is what happens inside. Hundreds of health and medical researchers collaborate to help every person not just live longer but live better. SAHMRI’s North Terrace headquarters has more than 15,000 triangular windows. We want the people we work for – the community – to look in and ask about what we are doing. Get up close to the stunning architecture and hear about the life-changing work we’re doing inside. Join us on a Family Tour during the April, July and September school holidays, designed specifically for parents/grandparents/guardians and school aged children who are science curious. Tours take approximately 1.5 hours.
Please join Professor Glenn Solomon, Director QuTech, for the Official Launch of the Australian Research Council Training Centre for Current and Emergent Quantum Technologies. Optional laboratory tours begin at 4pm. Guests will have the opportunity to visit 1 of 3 state-of-the-art laboratories on campus. The event will conclude at 8pm.
