Adventure Events in Sudbury

Who's ready for Adventure? Join Karen Yeowell of the New England Orienteering Club for a two-hour introduction to orienteering class at Nobscot Scout Reservation. Orienteering is an outdoor navigational sport where participants use a map and compass to navigate through unfamiliar terrain to find checkpoints in a designated order. Karen has been teaching youth and adults how to navigate in the woods for over a decade as a scout leader and instructor for the New England Orienteering Club. Participants may bring their own compass if they have one, otherwise compasses and maps will be provided. Class will be entirely outside and will include some off-trail navigation. Sturdy footwear and long pants are recommended. Park in the day use lot at 1 Nobscot Road.
