Explore the importance of getting to know our local places and encourage wellbeing. Slow down and enjoy time in nature at this guided nature journaling workshop held at Hanging Rock Reserve. Join artist, Claire Mosley for a relaxed session focused on observing, reflecting and connecting with the natural environment. You’ll learn easy ways to record what you see, hear and feel in nature. The workshop will also explore the benefits of getting to know local places and how creative time outdoors can support wellbeing. No art experience is needed.
Join the Macedon Ranges Youth Climate Group for a hands-on cultural and creative experience. This workshop is led by First Nations artist, Maddi Connors, who will share traditional painting techniques and the cultural stories behind them. Participants will learn about the significance of patterns, symbols, and colours while applying these techniques to habitat nesting boxes designed to support local wildlife. Guided step by step, each participant will paint their own unique nest box and gain insight into how art, culture, and environmental stewardship are deeply connected. At the end of the workshop, participants are invited to take their completed nest box home to install in their backyard, helping to create safe nesting spaces while continuing the practice of caring for the land.

Connect with a supportive, like-minded group of women as you explore gentle yoga practices designed to strengthen the pelvic floor. You’ll also learn how to create your own reusable continence pad using natural materials and traditional hand-sewing methods.
MRSG's Electrify Macedon Ranges (EMR) group has produced a booklet titled Electrify Your Home to assist households transition away from fossil fuels and towards cheaper, cleaner electricity for everything including home heating and cooling, cooking, hot water and vehicles. The booklet offers a 'step by step' action plan to demystify the issues and simplify the decision making.
