The program is funded by NALHN as part of the ACEM EMET Program. There is no cost to attend the workshop. Clinical Lead for the program is Dr Tariq Nehvi, Director of the NALHN EMET Program and Senior Consultant, Emergency Department Lyell McEwen Hospital. Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are welcome to attend the workshops. Registration is required and as numbers for each session are limited please book early to avoid disappointment. This interactive full day workshop covers all variety of Emergency Skills including triage, bedside ultrasound, Ventilation, Airway and Intubation, along with simulations and demonstrations to reinforce these skills. Skills covered include: Assessment, recognition of the unwell patient and pre-empting Bedside Ultrasound Triaging Principles Tachyarrythmias & Bradyarrythmias ALS Algorithm IOS/rics/artlines Ventilation Airway adjuncts + manoeuvres Intubation preparation + vortex Intubation with video laryngoscope CICO + FONA Light refreshments and Lunch will be provided.
