A Sound, Breath & Somatic Experience This is a soul and science-informed space to slow down. Sound Journey of Common-Unity is a shared experience of sound, breath, and presence. It’s a place to come back into your body, settle your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself and others in a simple, grounded way. The Journey For 90 minutes, you’ll be immersed in live, layered sound using gongs, didgeridoos, singing bowls, drums, and rattles. You’ll also experience Acutonics® - The use of precision-calibrated tuning forks on acupuncture points (no needles) to clear "stuck" pathways and re-tune your nervous system. You don’t need to try, fix, or understand anything. Just listen. Why Sound? We often try to "think" our way out of stress, but words can’t always reach where the tension lives. Sound works directly with your physiology. Because your body is roughly 70% water, these frequencies act like a cellular massage, reaching deep into your tissues to: • Apply the 'Vagal Brake': Low frequencies (like the didgeridoo and gongs) stimulate the Vagus Nerve, physically signaling your body to shift from ‘fight-or-flight’ into a restorative state. • Sync Your Brainwaves: Through a process called entrainment, your brain shifts from the 'busy' Beta state into the dreamlike Theta state. This is where deep rest, memory integration and mental clarity happen. • Lower Cortisol: Evidence shows that immersion in these frequencies significantly drops stress hormones and increases Heart Rate Variability (HRV), helping you feel more resilient long after you leave. What to Expect This is a neuro-affirming environment. There is no "right" way to be here; you can drop the ‘doing’ bag at the door. • Total Autonomy: Lie down, sit, move, or take a break. You are in charge of your experience. • Sensory Friendly: Sound levels vary and earplugs are always welcome. • Safety & Support: Emotional or physical sensations can arise as the nervous system unwinds. We provide a grounded, professional space where you remain in control. • No Pressure: There’s no requirement to share, speak, or "perform" relaxation. After the Journey We’ll close gently with 10 minutes of shared organic chai (3 Kings Blend by Against the Grain Health). This is an invitation to ground, connect, and return slowly. This is an experience of rest, regulation, and reconnection. no escape, no bypassing, no fixing. Just sound, breath and being human together. Bring: Water and anything comfortable (pillows, blankets, or an eye mask) that helps you drop in and feel at ease. Meet Your Hosts Tash Tash is a neurodivergent and neuro-affirming somatic coach currently completing postgraduate studies in mental health neuroscience. Her work bridges science and soul, blending neuroscience-informed practices with somatic work, Internal Family Systems and shamanic traditions. By helping you navigate your inner world, Tash bridges the unconscious with the conscious to meet the root of your struggles. She honours the beautifully messy journey of being human, supporting you to reconnect with your body, your inner parts and your natural capacity for healing, wholeness and self-trust. Francis Francis is a certified sound medicine practitioner with over 9 years of dedicated practice. He prides himself on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for everyone. His frequency therapy creates a balanced, meditative state that enhances physical, emotional and mental well-being. By using a sophisticated combination of Acutonics®, didgeridoo, gongs, crystal bowls, drums and rattles. Francis facilitates a deep "retuning" of the body, helping you return to a state of natural harmony and ease.
Don’t miss an unforgettable night of live music as Hugo and The Hive, Karma Police and Rain take the stage at Solbar, delivering a powerhouse lineup of indie-folk heart, grunge-fueled alt-rock energy and raw, soul-baring performances. Emerging from the vibrant regional music scene of Gympie, Queensland Hugo and The Hive are a queer indie-folk/rock quartet whose boundless energy, emotional depth and raw musicality have quickly made them one of South-East Queensland's most exciting young acts. Formed in 2019 while still in junior high school through their schools music program, the band's journey began as a shared creative experiment that has evolved into a dynamic force in the indie landscape. The group is made up of four best friends whose chemistry and camaraderie fuel both their songwriting and live performance: Liz (bass), Louie (guitar and vocals), Korbin (guitar and saxophone) and Nat (drums). From their earliest rehearsals, the band turned heads with a sound that blurs the edges between indie, rock, pop and folk, combining emotive lyrical storytelling with infectious melodies and vibrant instrumentation. Karma Police are a young four-piece band with a grunge-inspired, alt-rock, post-punk sound. Their debut single, Getaway, has been played on Triple J’s Unearthed Radio, 4ZZZ’s Zed Digital, Triple FM Brisbane, ABC Radio Gold Coast and ABC Radio Sunshine Coast – including two live in-studio performances. Recent shows have included playing alongside 3 x ARIA winners, The Superjesus in the line-up for Katie Noonan’s Eumundi School of Music Mini Festival; supporting the Wave Raiders with Chamberlane at their single launch; as well as opening for Charm of Finches as part of their national tour. Karma Police have a debut EP scheduled for release later in 2026. Karma Police are Willem Brennan (vocals), Will McWha (guitar), Madison Grose (bass), and Isaac Green (drums). Rain is an emerging artist who's always been on the move, turning music into a personal outlet through the darkest depths of her life. She's got that energy people are drawn to, bringing raw emotion and authenticity to every performance, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who hears her.
