Join us at Tweed Regional Museum for Weaving Together, a hands-on workshop led by Bundjalung artist Jason King (@jpkartistry). Inspired by the cultural season of Guyumbu (Mullet Season) and the long-held traditions of communities working together, this workshop introduces participants to the significance of weaving practices. As part of the workshop, Jason will show participants how to construct a traditional fishing net and then guide them to create an individual woven piece that can be tied onto the communal net structure. This collaborative artwork symbolises the importance of coming together, strengthening community connections and recognising that we are stronger together. It’s a fun chance to get creative, connect with culture and collaborate on a shared artwork!
