88 Tokamak are an impressionist post-punk band from Meanjin. Drawing inspiration from 70s jazz fusion, Y2K rock n roll, and presumably house music, they revel in intricate fiddly production details, and doing gnarly shoegaze jams on stage. They hope to transport you to a place you saw once in a picture in a dream you had. Their debut album Telescopes Out At The Rollerdisco can be found in most suburbs of the internet.

Alternative rock explorers CLOSURE IN MOSCOW will be joined by progressive rock legends THE DEAR HUNTER (USA) and the iconic ANTHONY GREEN (frontman of Circa Survive, The Sound of Animals Fighting, L.S. Dunes) for shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Narrm/Melbourne based experimental, post-ambient electronic artist PUSCHA is launching their new release Not That Special with an East Coast tour. For the Meanjin/Brisbane leg they will be playing a once off show at Black Bear Lodge, joined by a stellar line-up of some of their favourite local and nearby acts: Abstract Human Radio, a special collab set between Nicole Carroll (n0izmkr) and Coudbeard, and Jeunae Elita. An evening of ambient, drone, electronic textures, electroacoustics and doom folk.Tickets: $20 presale, $25 on the door.Puscha is an experimental electronic artist and film composer from Naarm/Melbourne. Taking wide influence from 20th century classical to psychedelic, deep global music to ambient techno and beyond, their music explores psychoacoustic and acousmatic modalities with the aim of provoking catharsis and deeper listening.
