Lace up and get ready to explore! A-Hike We Will Go! is a group activity designed especially for people with disability. Whether you’re up for a steady walk, a short stroll, or simply enjoying the scenery and taking breaks along the way, this activity is all about choice, comfort, and connection. This is a chance to breathe in the fresh air, get moving, share a laugh, and enjoy time together in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This year the Beenleigh Historical Village is not only having a special Easter Egg hunt but also markets, activities and Easter Bonnet parades! The Egg Hunt will begin at 10.30 and the children will dig around a pile of sugar cane looking for a plastic egg. After finding a plastic egg they run to the General Store where the Easter Bunny will be waiting to change the fake egg into a chocolate one! Only $5 per child to participate and they are guaranteed at least 3 eggs each. The only buildings open will be the General Store, Cafe and Saverin House Gallery. Entry will be $2 or $5 for participation in the egg hunt. Entry for Easter Bonnet Parade is free and winners from each age group will receive a special chocolate prize.
Join a fun guided walk to visit some of our resident bats and learn amazing facts about these winged wildlife heroes. These quiet achievers are crucial to the health of forests, making all bats ecological powerhouses! There will be giveaway take-home crafts for children and some tips on easy ways we all can help bats with their struggle to survive.
Come play in our big backyard - find bonus fun at IndigiScapes playground with items available for self-guided play between 8 and 11am. Children will enjoy fresh air and free play with added school holiday games including tandem walkers, tiger feet, wobble boards, balance beam, ring toss, coits, naughts and crosses, bouncy animals, juggling sticks, pavement games and more from 8am to 11am. Enjoy our regular nature playground equipment until 3pm.
