Love Yo’ Self! Belly Dance to love the (new) skin you’re in Belly dance is a joyful celebration of feminine energy and community from Middle Eastern culture. A cancer diagnosis and the recovery journey that follows can be deeply unsettling, affecting not only the body but also one’s sense of self. Gentle, expressive movement—like belly dance—can help reconnect body and mind, creating space for healing, confidence, and self-discovery. Sharing it with other goddesses on a similar journey reminds us of how connected we really are. Join us for a two-hour workshop where you’ll learn foundational movements, explore this beautiful art form, and shimmy your hips, roll your shoulders, and discover muscles you didn’t know you had. Together, we’ll share laughter and connection, reflect on our relationship with our bodies, and practice embracing and appreciating what nature has given us (even as it has changed). Wear comfortable, yoga-style clothing. Hip scarves and sparkles will be provided. This workshop is open to all women, with no prior dance experience required. It offers a warm, supportive space to explore your femininity, reconnect with your body, and celebrate yourself through movement. We will work at your physical ability (chairs available). If you can breathe, you can dance. Shimmy, shake and share! This is a complimentary event for those affected by breast cancer.
