Join us for a morning of coffee and conversation at The Dock with artist Jill Rizzo, whose solo show is currently on view at Millwork Commons in the LALA Gallery. The exhibition features works from her ongoing exploration of the human condition. Jill will be joined by Amelia Broussard, exhibitions and events coordinator for LALA. The two will chat about recurring themes and symbols appearing in Jill's work, and why making art can be life saving - especially in the everyday unrest of this year. Enjoy coffee from Archetype and pastries from Sweet Magnolia while you take in the art. This event is presented by LALA: Local Artist Local Art, whose mission is to build a more diverse, resilient, and thriving arts sector in Omaha.

DIY CANDLE: Heart Collage Workshop

Customize and decorate a scented candle at Wick & Paper Studio. Don't miss this fun event led by Telle & Resa Candle Co. Wick & Paper Studio is located inside of Dizzy Mule Apartments. It is a collaborative creative and retail space that houses Telle & Resa Candle Co. and J.Diane Creations. This collaborative studio brings together the art of paper-crafting and candle-making, offering a place for guests to explore, shop, and create. Individuals of all skill levels are invited to engage in the creative process through workshops that will be regularly hosted by the artists.
