Delve into three-dimensional design using wood, paper, metal, and found objects. Work with bas-relief on a small scale, progressing to larger sculptures. Explore design principles in space through pop can jewelry, paper sculpture, wood relief, painted aluminum relief, component sculpture, painted paper weaving, and object transformation.
This reading and writing-intensive course is designed to equip you with the tools and mindsets necessary to write constructively about arts and culture. You'll learn the basic formulas for short and long-form reviews, artist profiles, space and organization features, and interviews. The final two weeks are dedicated to a print + digital magazine you can proudly show off after the semester is over!

Whether you're in the mood to color or want to work on your current craft projects, this relaxing cozy creations day is the perfect escape. Just coming to color? We've got you covered with a selection of adult coloring books and colored pencils ready to go. You're also welcome to bring your favorite coloring tools. Working on a personal craft? Bring it along. This is a laid back space to get inspired, make progress on your projects, and enjoy good company. Bookish: Reading Tracker - I'll be bringing A5 journal pages featuring unique designs, along with access to pens, colored pencils, and fun embellishments to make your pages truly your own. While I don’t offer journal binding, you can get creative with your setup, bring your own binder, ring clips, or folder. I’ll also have hole punchers and a journal puncher available for you to use. Journaling/Scrapbooking: I’ll have plenty of supplies on hand for junk journaling/scrapbooking, including pens, coloring tools, stickers, patterned papers, and fun embellishments to spark your imagination. (Please note: journals are not provided, so bring your favorite one to fill) This event is all about community and creativity. Whether you’re in the mood to chat about your current crafts, current reads, TBR pile, or new bookish obsessions, or you just want to quietly create, you’ll feel right at home. A beginner's look at the terminology and techniques of watercolor painting. Ready to learn new skills with a fun, no-pressure group? Join Ada Koch for 'Art Evenings'. Each lesson is a stand alone class where you will learn basic art techniques and come away with amazing creations, all supplies furnished and no experience required. Beverages and light snacks provided. Come, bring a friend, relax and learn art! Painting can be a bit messy so wear old clothes or bring a smock.

Enjoy an intimate evening creating pinched pottery In The Lowest Ferns. This is an invitation to get your hands dirty and create intuitively in a grounding, communal space. Audrey, our instructor and the artist behind Audrey Jean Ceramics will demonstrate the fundamentals for building a pinch pot. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll have the freedom to experiment with different shapes and let your hands lead. Your finished pieces will then be clear glazed, kiln fired, and ready for pick up at a later date. The bar will be open offering cocktails, mocktails, and other refreshments to enjoy while you create. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get messy. Come as you are.
