Adventure Events in Monticello

Mothers ride FREE with a paid child fare. Ticket includes round trip train ride of approximately 1 hour duration and seven miles in length. Guests may board train either at main Museum site (Nelson Crossing) or at the Museum's Wabash Depot located in downtown Monticello. In addition to enjoying our train ride, guests are encouraged to visit the exhibit cars located adjacent to the Nelson Crossing depot, and are welcome to explore the Museum grounds and shop complex nearby. Children under 2 ride FREE with paying adult or senior. Tickets may be used on any one train trip on date for which issued. Trains leave the main Museum site at Nelson Crossing at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. Note that there is NO return trip to the Wabash Depot following the 2:30 p.m. departure.
