Join TCL as we celebrate the beauty of the human spirit through music from around the world. Together in harmony, we’ll sing Ruth Moody’s arrangement of “One Voice”—as sung by The Wailin’ Jennys—a piece that captures the transformative power of singing together. We’ll also sing the beloved American folk tune “Shenandoah,” along with spirited works from Italy (“La Villanella”) and Malaysia (“Wau Bulan”). From the rolling river to the twirling dancer to the kite carried by the wind, each piece invites us to experience story and culture through sound. This program reminds us that music is a universal language—and a powerful unifier.
