Sunn O)))) formed in March 1998 in Los Angeles. A synthesis of diverse: drone, ur, noise, metal, minimalism/maximalism; supported by a cast of collaborators, O))) has two core members: Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson. For twenty years, Sunn O))) have been challenging the way we think about music. From 1999’s The Grimmrobe Demos to 2021’s Metta, Benevolence, core members Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson have forged connections between the worlds of Metal, Drone, Contemporary Composition, Jazz and Minimalism with startling results while remaining true to the eternal principles of volume, density and weight. While Sunn O))) history of artistic collaborations is legendary, in celebration of their 25 years founders/guitarists Stephen O’Malley & Greg Anderson returned to the live aspect in its core, original raw form and performed several tours across Europe and North America as a duo. Their concerts are storied with remarkable performances at some of their favourite venues, as well as performing in new cultural spaces such as David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, Italy’s impressive cultural complex Labrinto Della Masone, Germany’s Ruhrtriennale Festival of Arts, at The Barbican, London and Manchester International Festival being a few fine examples. All hail.

Dead Meadow are a band hailing from Washington D.C, United States who formed in 1998. Since debuting, the band have released seven studio albums and become one of the most respected cult acts in the world of stoner rock. Forming from the ashes of two D.C based bands called The Impossible Five and Colour, the first incarnation of Dead Meadow was formed by guitarist and vocalist Jason Simon, bassist Steve Kille and drummer Mark Laughlin. With their seamless combination of prime 70's heavy metal, 60's psychedelia and lyrics cribbed from Tolkien and Lovecraft, the band signed to Fugazi bassist Joe Lally's record label Tolotta Records in 2000, a mere two years after they formed. Their self-titled debut album followed in the same year, which was so acclaimed that BBC Radio One legend John Peel asked them to record a session for his evening radio show. However, as the band couldn't afford to fly to London and record it, Dead Meadow became the first band in the session's 37 year history to record their session outside of the BBC's studios. 2001 saw the release of their second album “Howls From The Hills” and after the release of their live album “Got Live If You Want It” in 2002, the band signed to Matador Records in 2003, making them labelmates with the likes of Pavement, Guided By Voices and Belle and Sebastian. Ever since then, the band have remained one of the most consistent acts in stoner rock, with seven acclaimed studio albums to their name and a live show that could knock anyone for six. They've earned the respect of the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anton Newcombe (no easy feat) and inspired acts like Wolfmother, who reinterpreted the Dead Meadow track “Everything's Goin' On” as “Pilgrim” on their second album “Cosmic Egg”. They're still going from strength to strength over a decade and a half after forming, and for that, Dead Meadow come highly recommended.

Standard Time is happy to welcome back Keys N Krates and friends for another Odd Soul party! “Odd Soul” is a global dance music party curated by the members of Keys N Krates. They hand pick artists to create a lineup that brings good music and good vibes to an inclusive group of people who want to dance and party all night long. Known for their idiosyncratic and organic sample-driven approach to dance music, Keys N Krates continues to evolve as artists and producers. The Toronto-based trio, made up of Adam Tune, David Matisse, and Greg Dawson, began as a live act that would flip popular hip-hop and dance music tunes. The trio then decided they wanted to create their own music and found success with their breakout single Dum Dee Dum, a song that became an anthem of the subgenre of instrumental trap music. Their affinity for flipping off-kilter samples and writing fun dance floor songs didn’t stop there. They continued to evolve their style over the years, injecting more of their childhood influences into their music until finally arriving at making house music from their perspective, which is influenced by hip hop, tribal rhythms, 90’s house music, RnB, and 70’s disco and soul. Mix Signals is a Toronto-based DJ duo known for bold, high-energy performances and eclectic electronic sets built around hypnotic grooves and emotional peaks. Since debuting in December 2023, they’ve built a name in the underground scene with a residency at Insomnia, performances in Montreal, and openings for artists like M.I.A. KTK and Keys N Krates. From clubs to warehouse raves, Mix Signals creates unforgettable moments that last long after the music stops. From the heart of Tokyo's electrifying nightlife to the thriving music scene of Toronto, Sakiko Nagai is redefining the dance floor with her irresistibly groovy sound. Specializing in disco, boogie, and house, she crafts sets that are a celebration of rhythm and funk. Her residency at 915 Dupont has been local’s favourite showcasing the best of city pop and boogie hits on vinyl. Event admin StandardTime Update this event
