At the completion of this session, you will be able to: understand how to best utilise intentional disclosure when responding to a consumer, understand the role of intentional disclosure in Lived Experience (Peer) work, recognise potential barriers to disclosure, prepare for the possible effects of a disclosure, reflect on the impact a disclosure can have on another person and on the peer worker.

Training for Peer Workers in Karratha. Free training to recognise what boundaries are (and aren’t) in Peer work, identify personal boundaries, understand why Peer work requires different boundaries, and create empathetic boundaries. A peer worker uses their lived experience of mental health/alcohol and other drugs/family domestic or sexual violence/homelessness/incarceration to connect with people in similar lived experience to inspire hope and recovery in others.
