Join us for a chat, a cuppa, and some much-needed support at our Carer Support Group. Across the 8 weeks, sessions will focus on: Managing stress and emotional overload, Effective communication – expressing needs, setting boundaries, and being heard, Recharge and reconnect – practical ways to restore energy and resilience, Sleep and rest – improving sleep habits and managing fatigue. Each session includes guided discussion, gentle reflection, practical strategies, and opportunities to share experiences with other carers. Participation is flexible — you can listen, share, or simply take what you need from each session. You don’t need to have all the answers. This is a space to pause, connect, learn, and feel supported.
Attend this session facilitated by a registered nurse to examine essential aspects of personal care, including hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and emotional support. Enhance your health literacy as a carer and support care recipients to receive safe and dignified personal care.
Join us at the Carers Hub to learn all about Diabetes 101, where we'll break down the basics in a friendly and informative session. This session is facilitated by a registered nurse and designed to enhance the health literacy of carers to support care recipients with safe diabetes management.
Join us for a combination of gentle walking with conversation, fresh air, and connection with others who understand the caring role. Caring for someone can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting and isolating. You don’t have to do it alone. Walk and Talk Get moving at an easy, comfortable pace Take time out for yourself in a calm outdoor setting Connect with other people who “get it” Share experiences, tips, or simply enjoy quiet company Support your wellbeing in a pressure-free environment There’s no expectation to talk if you don’t want to — you can walk, listen, and just be present. The focus is on connection, self-care, and peer support in a safe, welcoming space. Come as you are. Walk at your own pace. Stay for the whole time or just part of it.
