Supporting parents/carers in their parenting journey by building an understanding of children’s development and exploring the little moments in everyday parenting to build and maintain positive connections. Recommended for parents/caregivers of children aged 2-12 years. Topics covered include: Brain and child development, Understanding behaviours, Parenting styles, Positive approaches to guiding children’s behaviour. Bookings are recommended. Unfortunately no creche available. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop commencing. This is a partnership between Families Growing Together and the Mount Barker Community Centre.

Facilitated by highly experienced Women’s Shed instructor Jocelyn, this course offers a friendly and supportive environment where participants will learn to safely use a range of woodworking tools. Throughout the program, you’ll create a variety of projects, including a laminated board and a step stool—perfect for building confidence and practical skills. All materials are provided.

This event is a chance to meet other men, and to learn about how a Table works which will help you decide whether you'd like to be part of a new Men's Table in the Adelaide Hills. It will be hosted by Ben Trobbiani, Regional Host for South Australia and a long standing member of an existing Men's Table, sharing his experiences from his Table. Both will respond to your questions, concerns and ideas.

In this two-part poetry workshop, explore the topic of Reconciliation by writing your own poems, via a series of prompts and activities.

Drawing from his own lived experience, these workshops will touch upon cultural and connective activities, developing expression of identity, Hip Hop as a tool for growth, and techniques for self-awareness, regulation, creation and communication.

Graham Bald will present a slide show and talk about a selection of beautiful artworks from his limited edition copy of 'South Australia Illustrated' by George French Angus, published in1847. Artist George French Angas painted some of the earliest views of South Australia. Afternoon tea included.
