In this acrylic painting workshop, participants will explore colour and texture, using palette knives to create their own atmospheric interpretation of the sky; whether bright, moody, serene, stormy, hopeful, or entirely imagined. Through colour mixing, expressive mark‑making, and the surprising, freeing effects of palette knives, everyone will have the chance to create a sky that is uniquely their own painted on a 30x30cm canvas.

Go behind the scenes of Radical Hope Machine 2 in this intimate conversation with three key creators: award-winning author Peter Carnavas, textile artist Shaye Hardisty, and multimedia artist Möbius. Together they unpack the ideas, collaborations and community-driven processes that shaped this immersive exhibition of storytelling, textiles and sound design. Audiences are invited on a guided tour through the Library+ installation to explore how local narratives were transformed into “magical clothing” through audio technology, and future-facing imaginings. A rare opportunity to delve into the creative engines behind this evolving world of radical hope.

Gain an insight into the conceptual side of Victoria Reichelt’s practice and step into the world of hyper realistic art. Victoria’s paintings investigate objects and what they tell us about our past, our present and our future. Victoria will present a masterclass painting photorealistic images in oil paints on canvas. The class will focus on; Transferring the image onto the canvas; the artist will illustrate the technique that she uses. An easy method to mix oil paints, with only one medium. This will include demonstrating how to set up your palette with all the colours you need to make your artwork. Painting your own artwork with guidance from Victoria. The artist will provide photographs for visual reference, participants are welcome to bring along their own photos, however, uncomplicated images are recommended.
Join a fun-filled adventure to find the elusive Green Sheep! The excursion starts with a hands-on learning workshop at the Caloundra Library, followed by a captivating performance at the Event Centre Caloundra. Blending puppetry and animation, this production integrates the voices of students as narrators.
