Be inspired by your local botanic garden with a relaxing walk of the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden, led by our volunteer guides. Join us for a guided walk through the Botanic Garden and discover how trees that look almost identical can be worlds apart on a koala’s menu. Using a simple, hands-on key, learn how to spot the four main groups of local eucalypts and start telling them apart with confidence. Along the way, discover the signs koalas leave behind. Learn where to look, what to notice, and how to read these clues like a koala detective. You’ll finish the walk able to recognise several koala food trees, armed with fascinating eucalypt knowledge, and with a whole new appreciation for the trees that support one of Australia’s most iconic animals.
