With a PhD in Environmental Education, Ecosystem Conservation & Ecopsychology and a background teaching and practicing ecological regeneration, Manoa not only shares positive messages of nature reconnection, personal growth, and transformation through his music but also integrates ecological wisdom into workshops and retreats.

Learn to recognize signs and symptoms, initiate conversations, assess crisis situations, and understand available treatments. Apply self-care practices as a Mental Health First Aider.

This workshop will cover: Families and Ice, Stages of Change for Families and the person using substances, Drugs Of Concern To The Community, Is Methamphetamine a Problem, The short- and long-term effects of Ice Use, Dealing with aggressive and violent behaviour. Take this time to reconnect with your own passion and interest in crafting words and language that evoke meaning, emotion and inspiration. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, everyone is welcome to participate. Feel free to bring something to share of your own work, or the work of your favourite poets. (Someone will be able to read them if you're not comfortable with spoken word) All poetic expression is welcome! Tea + coffee and biscuits provided as well as some some quiet time to pen new poetry.
