Find the best art events and make the most of your time this month in Cairns. From education to trivia and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.

Wheel throwing experience gives you 3 hours to play on the pottery wheel with step by step guidance. Have fun, earth out & get muddy.

Stories Alive is a creative development showcase bringing two published ARC children’s books by regional artists with disabilities to life for the stage.
Explore drawing and mixed media through still life flowers in a calm, hands-on workshop supporting beginners and developing artists.

This is an opportunity for you & your partner to be creative together, to make memories & unique art that you can use every day. It’s a fun interactive workshop, you will create mugs for each other with step by step guidance in hand building and then have fun playing and using the pottery wheel together, yes like the movie ghost haha. You will create 3-4 pieces each person that will be bisque fired, glazed & glaze fired ready for pick up 3-6 weeks after workshop.

Grab a partner to paint and come get creative!
Share poetry, ready your own, listen to others, be inspired to write and enjoy meaningful conversation. Poets Sharing Circle. An idea inspired by a lovely carer in our community, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow poets and wordsmiths, share your work and support one another beyond the daily caring roles and responsibilities. Take this time to reconnect with your own passion and interest in crafting words and language that evoke meaning, emotion and inspiration. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, everyone is welcome to participate. Feel free to bring something to share of your own work, or the work of your favourite poets. (Someone will be able to read them if you're not comfortable with spoken word) All poetic expression is welcome! Tea + coffee and biscuits provided as well as some some quiet time to pen new poetry.
