Family trust elections are firmly in the ATO spotlight this year, identified as one of the ATO’s seven key targets for compliance action. While FTEs can play an important role in preserving trust losses, company losses and franking credits, they can also lead to significant tax complications if they are not managed properly. With increased scrutiny expected, personal liability for directors, limited abilities to correct errors and an unlimited period of review, now is an ideal time to revisit your understanding. In this session, specialists from our tax team will equip you with the tools and detailed knowledge you need to confidently review your clients’ positions and support them in meeting their obligations.
This one-day professional development workshop will be facilitated by National Gallery of Australia and Geelong Gallery artist educators. Aligned with the Australian Curriculum, the workshop focuses on creative strategies to engage students with Claude Monet’s Meules, milieu du jour [Haystacks, midday] and other artworks on display from Geelong Gallery’s Collection that consider landscape. Participants will be introduced to approaches for using the accompanying learning resource in classrooms or other learning environments and experience creative thinking and making activities. This professional development workshop is open to educators of all year levels from Early Learning to Tertiary education, as well as other arts professionals.
