Find the best education events and make the most of your time in Neosho. From art to parenting and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
Learn all about raccoons in this program dedicated to our youngest nature lovers aged 2-4 with their caregiver. Join us with your little ones as we explore the wonders of the natural world together! Nature Sprouts is a gentle, engaging introduction to outdoor discovery for toddlers and their caregivers, designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and joy through hands-on experiences in nature. Each session includes story time, sensory play, guided outdoor exploration, and simple activities that help children interact with the world around them in age-appropriate ways. The program is relaxed, welcoming, and encourages caregivers to participate alongside their child. Programs meet in St. Francis Hall and run from 10:00–11:30 AM. Families are welcome to stay afterward to continue exploring, play outside, or enjoy lunch on the grounds. Thursday, July 23rd: Paws & Claws Raccoons are curious, clever, and a little mischievous — just like us! Join us as we learn about these masked bandits: what they eat, how they use their hands to explore, and where they hide in the woods. We will imitate raccoon movements, practice “sneaking” quietly, and try simple raccoon-inspired activities. We will create cute snacks and read a story, reflecting on the love for God’s clever creatures!
