She`ll regale you with stories from her Irish Catholic neighborhood while teaching the fine art of the Irish Exit, the secrets behind Dublin`s famous colorful doors, and even solving the mystery of how St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland. Along the way, Sister will have her class preparing for the ultimate honor: applying to march in the big St. Patrick`s Day Parade. Students won`t just sit back and watch - you`ll be part of the rehearsal process as Sister gets everyone parade-ready, testing your knowledge of the Emerald Isle and maybe even rewarding you with a Celtic prize or two. It`s a hilarious, history-tinged adventure filled with laughter, tradition, and just the right splash of Irish spirit. Music in Motion, a collaboration event between the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, Expressive Therapies, and your Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, is returning for a second season, now with two dates for community members to join in the sensory-inclusive experience. Designed with guests of all abilities in mind, Music in Motion blends live symphonic music with a welcoming environment that encourages movement, participation and fun. Attendees are invited to join in the music-making using handheld instruments and colorful scarves (provided at the event), while enjoying flexible seating, consistent lighting, and open areas for those who prefer to move during the performance.
