Join us for an intimate evening of queer literature and conversation as we read James Baldwin’s Giovanni’s Room, a groundbreaking novel about identity, love, shame, and exile. Whether it’s your first time reading it or your tenth, come as you are. No academic pressure or pretension. This is the first iteration of a new series at Asylum, hosted by @mommychondriac. The café will be open with tea and coffee. All are welcome, especially queer folks, BIPOC readers, and anyone looking for a soft place to land.
