Join us for a special bird walk designed for women, hosted by Women and Our Woods, on the land of 4th-generation sugarmaker Jessica Boone. During this guided walk, participants will learn how to identify birds by both sight and sound, building skills to deepen their connection with the forest. Along the way, we’ll explore what makes a sugarbush “bird-friendly,” including forest structure, species diversity, and stewardship practices that support a wide variety of species. We’ll get close look at some of the management Jessica has undertaken to promote bird habitat and then enjoy pastries and refreshments after the walk. Whether you’re new to birding or looking to expand your knowledge, this welcoming, women-centered event offers a chance to learn, connect, and experience the woods in a new way.
